Tools I Use

A running list of my daily tools.

I keep a short list of tools. If something doesn’t earn its place, it gets cut.

Editor

Cursor IDE with a minimal setup. Fewer extensions means fewer things that break on update.

Languages & Frameworks

Mostly TypeScript, React, NextJS or Astro for apps and simpler sites. For styling, Tailwind is my go-to along with ShadCN or DaisyUI. Sometimes nothing beats plain CSS and HTML though.

Backend & Databases

Usually I go with Neon or Supabase databases for users, and Cloudflare R2 for object and media storage. Prisma for ORM.

Hosting

Static sites get hosted on Vercel, Hostinger or Railway. If it doesn’t need a server, it doesn’t get one. If it does need one, then Railway.

AI Tools

My favorite right now is Claude Code which does most of the tasks, or GPT Codex when I need some heavy lifting and token-intensive usage.

Terminal

A plain terminal with zsh, or Ghostty. No fancy prompts, no plugins beyond what ships by default.

That’s it. The best tool is the one you know well enough to forget about.
